lacrosse clinic for beginner?!? | |
so my parents are letting me do lacrosse! something i've ALWAYS wanted to do...i'm just kinda not sure if i should do this 6-week clinic because im actually a bit too old (but i asked the ppl, they said i can still sign up), i'm very shy, and im a beginner...
any tips on how to have fun during practices?
plus, what do i need to wear? cleats? socks? shorts?
do i need a bag for all my equipment?
and do i need to bring cleats and another pair of sneakers?
are there any goggles that are less expensive?! they're all like 60 bucks!
my first day was great! i just need to work on scooping ground balls!!! and the thing is, i need to be more competitive but since it's not in my nature, how can i be more aggressive in the game w/o hurting others? i mean, we had 1 on 1 to get the ball from each other, but i could never really be fast enough or call out fast enough...i dont know how to gain the confidence to play against ppl even if i can develop better skills...can anyone help me?

1okay so i've been playing lacrosse for a while and trust me you will love it! it's tough at first but you get better as the practices continue.
to have fun during practices, make friends with everyone (which shouldn't be hard if you're one of the older girls). just wear cleats, your eye goggles, and a mouthguard. socks aren't really necessary. those are more for fun during games if the whole team wears them. just wear shorts and a t-shirt unless you want to look fancy and wear under armour. i just wear tees, spandex and soffee shorts.
